Enjoy a unique opportunity to connect with one of Australia’s most evocative painters while developing your own plein air practice in the beautiful surrounds of Mudgee.
Step into the world of celebrated Australian en plein air artist Clarice Beckett in this immersive two-day workshop, held in conjunction with our current exhibition, Clarice Beckett: Paintings from the National Collection.
Led by artist Amanda Penrose Hart, this hands-on experience invites participants to explore Beckett’s distinctive approach to atmosphere, light and tone while painting outdoors.

WHAT TO BRING
All drawing and painting materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring:
- Old cereal boxes or cardboard (to paint in the style of Clarice Beckett)
- A sturdy folded chair
- An apron
- Boxes for transporting wet paintings home
- A hat
- Sunscreen
- A water bottle
