Next Gen Portrait Prize

3 December 2022 – 2 February 2023

Held in conjunction with the Inaugural MAP Portrait Prize 2022, the Next Gen Portrait Prize featured 2D portraits by students from the Mid-Western Region local government area. This satellite exhibition was held in the upstairs gallery spaces at Mudgee Arts Precinct.

The exhibition showcaseed the extraordinary young talent from our region with students submitting portraits of people in their lives to whom they have a personal connection.

Mudgee Arts House Courageous Award: $500

Mudgee Arts House kindly donated $500 towards a ‘Courageous’ award in the Next Gen Portrait Prize.  This award was for an artist showing exceptional commitment to pushing the boundaries via a strong conceptual component and exceptional courage in their art practice.
