MAP Portrait Prize 2024

After the success of the inaugural MAP Portrait Prize held in 2022 the biennial MAP Portrait Prize returns to Mudgee Arts Precinct in November.

Receiving over 400 entries in 2022 and 84 finalists exhibited, almost half the finalists came from within the Mid-Western Region, representative of the high calibre of artistic talent found in our local community. Furthermore, over 1200 people visited the gallery across its three-month exhibition period, making it one of Mudgee Arts Precincts’ most popular exhibitions. 

The MAP Portrait Prize 2024 will once again be open to submissions in all media to artists at any level of their artistic practice from beginners right through to arts professionals.

KEY DATES

Monday 30 September: Artwork entries close 5pm (online entry will open soon)

Wednesday 16 October: Finalists notified.

Friday 25 October: Finalists announced.

Thursday 24 October: Delivery of works to Mudgee Arts Precinct.

Friday 1 November: 6pm opening event and winners announced.

Sunday 12 January 2025: People’s Choice Award voting closes.

Wednesday 15 January: People’s Choice Award announced.

Sunday 2 February:  Exhibition closes.

Monday 10 February: Collection of works from Mudgee Arts Precinct.
