MAP Portrait Prize 2024

After the success of the inaugural MAP Portrait Prize held in 2022 the biennial MAP Portrait Prize returns to Mudgee Arts Precinct this November.
Receiving over 400 entries in 2022 and 84 finalists exhibited, almost half the finalists came from within the Mid-Western Region, representative of the high calibre of artistic talent found in our local community. Furthermore, over 1200 people visited the gallery across its three-month exhibition period, making it one of Mudgee Arts Precinct's most popular exhibitions.
The MAP Portrait Prize 2024 will once again be open to submissions in all media to artists at any level of their artistic practice from beginners right through to arts professionals.

KEY DATES
Tuesday 8 October: Entries close 12 noon
(Round 1 shortlisting of finalists will take place between noon Tuesday 8 October and Tuesday 15 October)
Wednesday 16 October: Round 1 shortlisted entrants notified and asked to arrange delivery of works to MAP
Wednesday 23 October: Delivery of works to MAP between 9am and 5pm
(23 – 25 October: Round 2 shortlisting takes place of works to be included in final exhibition)
Friday 25 October: 5pm Exhibition finalists announced via MAP website and social media.
Friday 1 November: 6pm Opening Event and winners announced.
Sunday 12 January 2025: People’s Choice Award voting closes
Wednesday 15 January: People’s Choice Award announced
Sunday 2 February: Exhibition closes
Monday 10 February: Collection of works
